Good evening Seaford families,

Thank you for all of your support with our Walk-a-Thon!  Our students will enjoy PJs with a DJ next Tuesday, November 26th.  Students may wear their pajamas to school; and, they will come to the gym during their resource class to enjoy appropriate dance music and fun!  You are more than welcome to come during their resource time and join them to dance!

We greatly appreciate everyone's support with our SCA's canned food drive.  Our students were able to donate many items to our local food bank this week, and they were so appreciative!

Our SCA and all of the York Zone schools will be collecting items for children and families at CHKD hospital.  Wes Pak, a former Seaford Bulldog, always coordinated a toy drive each year, and we are proud to continue this tradition in his memory.  Please help us make the "Wes Pak's Piles of Smiles Toy Drive" a huge success.  The following items are greatly needed and appreciated:

  •  Unwrapped new toys for all ages and gender
  • Gift Cards for "tween" age and teenagers
  • Gift Cards for the parents (restaurants, shopping stores)
  • Batteries
  • Any cash donations will go to purchasing toys/gifts for age groups that are lacking and needing gifts

It is the goal of the York Zone to stuff a school bus filled with the above items to brighten the lives and holidays for children and their families at CHKD.  Please send any donations with your child (or family member) to Seaford's office by December 6th.  We thank you in advance for helping us STUFF THE BUS!

It is that time of year when many of our students get sick and have to miss school.  Please remember to either email the school or send a note regarding the absence.  We really appreciate your help with this.

Have a wonderful evening,

Barbara Nagel

Upcoming Dates

Good evening Seaford Families,

Our Fall Festival was a GREAT event!  We were happy to see so many families that evening, enjoying all of the festivities.   A special thank you to Mrs. Carissa Goodnite for organizing the event, and all of the wonderful volunteers whose support made the evening a success.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Walk-A-Thon!  The deadline for pledges is Monday, October 28th.  If you have not already turned in your pledge money, please do so Monday.  the assembly will be Friday, November 1st.  We are excited to find out how much money was raised for our school, and whether Mrs. Jalomo and I get slimed!

The SCA has invited everyone to participate in Seaford's "Pink Out Day" for Breast Cancer awareness.  Everyone is invited to wear pink.

We know many of our families participate in Trick-or-Treating.  Please do not send candy to school.  In addition to having many students with food allergies, we are also trying to promote healthy lifestyles and do not want students having excessive amounts of sugar during the school day.  Students may have one or two pieces of candy as a part of their lunch; but, they may NOT give candy to other students.  Thank you in advance for your support.

Tuesday, November 5th is a student holiday; and, Tuesday, November 11th is an early dismissal day.  On the morning of November 11th, students will enjoy the production of Pocahontas (sponsored by Seaford's PTA).

A special thank you to all of our Veterans!  Thank you for your service- we are grateful to you for making a difference for all of us!

Have a wonderful week,

Mrs. Nagel
