Good afternoon Mustang family!

Please know that we miss you terribly! We are looking forward to the distribution of materials in early June. We still are waiting for 5th grade t-shirts, yearbooks, promotion certificates, and other end of the year goodies to be ready. In the event that you need something from school, please email Christine Ilardi at cilardi@ycsd.york.va.us. We will schedule a no contact pick up as soon as the requested materials are prepared.

Notes from the School Counselor

If your family is in need of mental health services during this time, you may find the following link to be helpful: https://ycsd.yorkcountyschools.org/Page/7161.

While our final Continuity of Learning Plans will cease on June 5th, our YCSD counselors are providing a fun way to continue to engage students from June 8th-June 12th with a virtual career fair. We are looking for parents and community members to create a brief video to share with our students. Please see the attached link if you can help: https://flipgrid.com/b462f0fb.

Note from the Librarian

We will have plastic bins in front of the school each day for return of library and other school books (including any readers or reading bags that were sent home with your child during the first two weeks of school closure). We would appreciate the return of these materials when you pick up the final continuity of learning plans this week or as soon as possible. If you are returning items other than library materials, we ask that you place the items in a plastic bag with your child’s name and teacher name. We will also be prepared to collect these items when we distribute student belongings.

Final Report Cards

Final report cards for all students will be mailed home and posted to Aspen on June 18th. If your family has moved, please email Anita Boseman at aboseman@ycsd.york.va.us with your updated contact information.

Warmly,

Kristin Bolam, Principal
