Mustang News, Nov. 11
Good evening Mustang family!
Thank you to all of our Veteran’s and military-connected families! We appreciate the tremendous sacrifices that your families make and your contributions to our school community.
This week, we partner with the United Way to celebrate kindness week. Be sure to ask your students show they are practicing kindness throughout the week, and be sure to check out the attachments to this email.
PTA meets on Tuesday at 6:30 in the library. Please join us!
Please see the important announcements below:
SCA Food Drive
This is School Kindness Week presented by The United Way. Each day the students will hear about and be encouraged to participate in the kindness activity. On Wednesday, November 14, we celebrate Kindness through Giving. Student Council would like to kick off the day by collecting canned foods to be donated to our local food bank. The drive will begin on the 14th and end on November 20th. Please give if you are able!
We will be recognizing our extraordinary Para-Educators on Wednesday, November 14th for the amazing support that they provide our teaching staff. Please encourage your child to draw a picture, write a thank you note, or give a smile and hug to the paras that encourage and help them each school day.
Tastes of the Seasons
Sodexo will offer an opportunity for all students to try a taste of two seasonal recipes on Friday. Our Dietician will be on site to make these items available to students – even if they do not have a lunch. Students will be able to try Barbeque Cauliflower Wings and Candied Sweet Potatoes (contains: milk, cinnamon). Nurse Clark is working with Sodexo to ensure that the needs of students with food allergies are taken into account.
See the attached newsletter to see more updates from Sodexo!
We have an urgent need for cardboard egg cartons for a project this week. Please send them if you can!
