Hello! My name is Danielle Neubauer and I am the school couselor at Yorktown Elementary School! This is my thirteenth year as a school counselor. I am thankful that I love coming to work everyday! I earned by bachelor of science degree from William and Mary and my master’s degree in school counseling from Shippensburg University. I am a native of Hampton and love living here in Yorktown with my family! I am looking forward to getting to know all our students and working with parents this year!
I see students individually, in small groups and for classroom school counseling lessons throughout the year. In addition, I serve as the school’s military family point of contact, gifted education coordinator, ITBS and NNAT testing coordinator and Family Life Education coordinator. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at the following contact information:
You can also follow me on Twitter at @YEScounselor
Classroom lessons in September will be a review of expectations for our time together when I enter classrooms and a review of the role of the school counselor (as discussed in a True or False game called Pin the Role on the School Counselor - don't worry - no school counselors were harmed in the playing of this game!)
