Welcome from Principal
Welcome to Williamsburg, Virginia and Bruton High School! Bruton is a small but amazingly mighty school that you are going to love. We are a school for all learners. This includes our military students! Our faculty and staff are committed to supporting you and your family as you transition to our school. From the selection of courses through transitioning to school on the first day, great consideration is given to pair military students with a peer. We believe in connecting our students and their families to Bruton High School. We are honored that you are joining our school community and we appreciate the diverse experiences that your family brings to our community.

Welcome from a Military Parent
From the plains of the United States to the coast of distant countries, the journey of each military family is one filled with expectations coupled by unforeseen circumstances. Our lives become a whirlwind of abbreviations, numbers, and tasks of simply trying to remember addresses that span years. Simply getting to a point to feel "at home" for the moment can be equally overwhelming. However, becoming a part of the Bruton High School community is like coming "home" to an environment where everyone is valued for who they are as an individual. Understanding the sometimes unique circumstances experienced during transitions, the faculty and staff work collaboratively with families to make sure transitions are smooth and ongoing support is available. Regardless of Armed Forces Branch, you are sure to realize that Bruton is a place where peace of mind begins and continues throughout the halls and welcomes you back each day.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to welcome your family to York County School Division and "home" to Bruton High School!
