I grew up in Northern Virginia on a farm and attended a small high school. With four younger brothers, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher! I attended Christopher Newport University, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in English. During my time there, I ran cross country and track. Go Captains! I had the unique opportunity to complete half of my student teaching overseas in Panama. I continued my education and received my Master's Degree in Teaching a year later. My husband and I met during our time at CNU, and he is also a teacher! We reside in Gloucester with our two pets. I've been fortunate to call Grafton home for the past twelve years. Go Clippers!
