  • On Command Therapy Dogs and YES are partnering to provide literacy support and engagement to our students.  Throughout the 2022-2023 school year, therapy dogs will visit classrooms to promote literacy engagement.

Depending on classroom structures, Therapy Dogs can do any of the following:

    • Sit with students during a whole group lesson
    • Listen to partners or small groups of students read aloud
    • Listen to individual students read aloud
    • Listen to students read their writing aloud

All therapy dogs are fully certified and insured and will be accompanied by their handler.  Copies of certifications and insurance are available to view through your child’s teacher.  In order for your child to interact with the therapy dogs, please complete the electronic form at the link below as soon as possible.  This permission form is valid for the 2022-2023 school year.  Please contact your child’s teacher with any questions.
