    Dear Shining Stars,

Please know that the staff and administration are thinking of each of you during this time.  During this unprecedented closure, please stay connected! The YCSD website is continually updated with the most current information.

    • OFFICE HOURS: During the closure, teachers and licensed staff will check emails daily (Monday-Friday) and respond within 24 hours.  Teachers, administration, and certified staff have remote office hours for 2 hours daily (Monday - Friday). The office secretaries are checking the main office voicemails on a regular basis. Your child’s teacher will communicate office hours and preferred communication methods directly to families.
    • CONTINUITY OF LEARNING: All teachers created learning packets for their students.  Extended learning packets were distributed on March 16.  Thank you to all of our families for helping us with the distribution!  We had 16 packets left, which were mailed on yesterday.
    • ADDITIONAL INFO:
      • Families needing technology support during the closure, please call 757-527-4819. You will need to leave a detailed message with contact information and staff will contact you.
      • Questions can be sent to askYCSD@ycsd.york.va.us, with answers posted on the division website.

Please take care during the school closure and we look forward to opening our doors again to welcome back all of our Shining Stars!

    Kind regards,

    Principal Hopkins
