Material Distribution: January 27th
We will be doing a distribution of materials and note packets for our Math and Science classes (with the exception of Science 6) this Wednesday, January 27th, from 4-6 PM right here at Tabb Middle School. If your student is in 6th grade and is a hybrid student, then your student can pick up the materials in the building while they are in class on either Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday. The only 6th grade families who will need to come to pick up materials on Wednesday are families who have 6th-grade students in the virtual setting. In addition, all 7th and 8th-grade students will need to come to pick up materials for both their math and science class on Wednesday night, regardless if they are hybrid or virtual.
In addition to the distribution of materials and notes, we are asking families to bring a canned food item if you are able. This past Monday, we observed Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and we want to continue to honor his legacy and his mission by serving our community. This year has been tough for many, and our food pantries have been hit hard. We serve a special community and we know that we're better when we work together. If we can bring a canned good or two, then we can continue to live out Dr. King's mission, serve our community well, and help re-stock our food pantries.

Remote Learning Jan. 4-8
As you know, YCSD initiated a one-week temporary shift to remote learning for Prek-6, EL and self-contained classrooms to allow time for contact tracing and implementation of quarantine protocols the week after Thanksgiving. We will implement the same plan after Winter Break – one week of Remote learning, then a return to Hybrid as scheduled.
