    About Mrs. Newton

    Kara Newton is a speech-language pathologist who is currently working with preschool, elementary, and high school students.  Mrs. Newton holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.  She is certified to assess, diagnose and provide remedial services to students with identified communicative needs, including articulation, language, voice, fluency and hearing impairments. 

     

    Outside of work, Mrs. Newton enjoys watching and playing sports, traveling, going to theater performances, and doing fantasy football.  She is a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  She was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania and lived there for 25 years.  Mrs. Newton then moved to Virginia and taught in Hampton, Virginia for 3 years before coming to York County School Division.  Mrs. Newton is excited about starting her fourth year with York County School Division.
