Governor's School for Science and Technology Application - Current 10th grade students may apply to the Governor's School for Science and Technology (GSST). The GSST is a highly competitive program for high-achieving and highly motivated students with a focus on science, mathematics, technology, and advanced research. All applications must be received by February 28, 2023.

New Horizons Regional Education Centers Application - Rising 11th and 12th grade students who have completed applicable prerequisites are eligible to apply to take Career & Technical Education courses offered through the New Horizons Regional Education Center (NHREC). The application window is currently closed. See your school counselor to be placed on the waiting list.

Course Planning - If you were unable to attend our Course Planning Night or would like to review the presentation, we've got you covered! This presentation will walk you through graduation requirements and diploma types, credits and verified credits, the YCSD Honors and specialty programs, course options, and next steps. Opportunities Booklet - The Opportunities Booklet is your guide to prepare for continuing education beyond high school, whether attending a career and technical education institution, community college, or four-year college or university.
Big Future - Big Future is a free, comprehensive set of digital resources that helps guide students through the journey to plan, search, and pay for college.
AP Credit Policy Search - Your AP Scores could earn you college credit or advanced placement (meaning you could skip certain courses in college). Use the AP Credit Policy Search to find colleges that offer credit or placement for AP Scores.
AP Score Reporting - Please note that Grafton High School does not get individual score reports. To get college credit or placement for your AP scores, you have to request that the College Board send an official AP score report to the college. Transfer Virginia - Dual enrollment opportunities offer courses through which you may earn college credits. You must have a 3.0 GPA to enroll in a DE course. Click this link to learn more about making the most of dual enrollment classes and how they can transfer to Transfer Virginia partner Institutions.
Community Service Log - Use the Community Service Log to track your volunteer hours. Community service hours may be logged for various Honor Societies, the Honors Program, and/or the Board of Education Seal for Excellence in Civics Education. See the YCSD Program of Studies or your school counselor for more information.
Khan Academy Free Online Study Resource - Khan Academy offers free practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard for math, art, computer programming, economics, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, finance, history, and more! Simply select a course or use the search box.
