• 1. GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship

    • Opens October 17th and DUE January 5, 2023 at 3pm
    • Demonstrate the attributes of leadership, integrity, drive, and citizenship within their communities, schools, and workplaces
    • Display strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent)
    • Be citizens of the United States of America
    • Be current high school seniors attending high school within the United States, (including any U.S. territories or commonwealths), and graduating in winter 2022 or spring 2023. Applicants living on a U.S. Armed Forces base and attending high school outside the U.S. are eligible.
    • Plan to enroll in a full‑time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four‑year college or university in the United States for the entire 2023-2024 academic school year

    2. Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

    • Deadline: January 11, 2023
    • Details:
      • For graduating minority high school seniors
      • JRF scholars receive grants of up to $30,000 over four years.
      • Scholars receive extensive support services including career guidance and internship placement.

    3. Tidewater Chapter Tuskegee Airmen Inc Scholarship – for Seniors

      1. Due: January 23, 2023
      2. Details:
        1. For students who are graduating during the 22-23 school year.
        2. Students must have a 3.0 or higher
        3. Students must mail package to Tidewater Chapter TAI

    4. Kiwanis Club of Poquoson Teenager of the Year award – For 9th-12th graders

      1. Amount: The award comes with a $1000 scholarship and the opportunity to compete for the Division 12 Teenager of the Year.  The winner of the Division Teenager of the Year will receive a $1000 scholarship and the opportunity to compete for the Capital District Teenager of the Year, which comes with a $2500 scholarship.  
      2. Deadline: January 31, 2023
      3. Details: The  Teenager of the Year Award welcomes applications from young people who are between the ages of 13 and 19 (not yet age 19) and are currently residing in DC, DE, MD or VA.  The purpose of this award is to give recognition to deserving teenagers for their service to their school and community, citizenship, leadership performance, character and academic achievements. If the nominee continues through the competition process at club, division and district levels, the finalist will be awarded the title of 2021 – 2023 Capital District Teenager of the Year, $2,500.00 and a trip with their parents/guardians to the Kiwanis District Convention, August 18-20, in Richmond, VA.
