Operational Integrity Gateway
Whereas the health metrics will operate as a gateway to consider bringing students and staff into classrooms; operational integrity is required to provide certain learning models. Operational Integrity is defined as the ability of the division to supply a labor force or service to effectively meet the demand of providing in-person learning either five days a week or an alternating in-person schedule. When the demand can meet the supply, the division can offer the desired learning model.
The division must consider both instructional and operational staff in determining staffing capacity. As such, the division surveyed all employees in July to identify whether they may qualify for one or more criteria for up to 12 weeks of paid leave under the Family First Coronavirus Response Act, followed by the completion of a Commitment Form for the 2020-21 school year. We will continue to review employee status when preparing to move within the Flexible Framework as 57% of division employees, those who do not live in York County, may be impacted by conditions and school schedules in other localities.
