    • The AAA Tidewater – J. Theron "Tim" Timmons Scholarship – For graduating high school seniors with at least a 3.0 GPA whose parents/guardians are members of AAA Tidewater. Financial need is required.
    • Charles F. Burroughs Scholarship – For students attending Hampden-Sydney College. Financial need is required.
    • Frank Fang Memorial Scholarship – For Chinese or Chinese American students from anywhere in Hampton Roads (including the Peninsula and Gloucester County) to attend a four-year college or university. This award is merit-based; financial need is not a factor.
    • Hampton Roads Spartan Scholarship – For students from Hampton Roads attending Norfolk State University with a preference for students who are single parents. Financial need is required.

    34. Ferguson Enterprises College Scholarship and Ferguson Trades School Scholarship

    • Must be a legally dependent child (whether natural, adopted, or step child) of a full –time (minimum 30- hours per week) Ferguson Enterprises or Subsidiary Associate, which associate has completed a minimum tenure of two years by the scholarship deadline.

     45. JMU Scholarship Opportunity:

    • For already admitted students who submitted the FAFSA and identified by the Financial Aid Office as eligible for the Pell Grant.
    • Centennial Scholarship: JMU awards several Centennial Scholarships to incoming freshmen and transfer students each year. This scholarship covers Tuition & Fees along with Room & Board costs for an entire academic year. Students must be Virginia residents and eligible for the Pell Grant to be considered, and the scholarship is renewable provided students maintain at least a 3.0 GPA and follow other University requirements for the scholarship. More details can be found at: https://www.jmu.edu/centscholars/programs-undergraduate.shtml.     Scholastic Art & Writing Awards - Through the Scholastic Awards, teens in grades 7–12 (ages 13 and up) from public, private, or home schools can apply in 29 categories of art and writing for their chance to earn scholarships and have their works exhibited and published. 

    Sleep Scholarship - Applicants need to submit a written piece exploring their personal relationship with sleep health and the impact it’s had on their education in an 800-1000 word essay.

    Teenager of the Year - The purpose of this award is to give recognition to deserving teenagers for their academic achievements, citizenship, service to their school and community, growth and responsibility in his/her family unit, character and leadership performance.
